I’ve lost one of my earrings Can I purchase a single earring?
If you accidently lose an earring please email kiaora@maioha.nz to make a single earring purchase. (Please note that some earrings must be a mirrored pair, and that the colour of metal can vary over time.)
My piece has broken, can I get it repaired?
As we do not produce jewellery enmasse, we do not provide repairs for items that have broken due to normal wear and tear. This may involve, but is not restricted to, the following :
-stretched chain links close to the break
-snagging your jewellery causing damage
-the general wear and tear that comes with wearing jewellery, such as wearing it whist swimming and tarnish over time
-flattened or compressed earring posts

How do I care for my taonga?
It is always advisable to avoid wearing sterling silver jewellery in water, especially in swimming pools and spas, as chlorine may cause damage to your jewellery.
Avoid contact with deodorants, shampoos, or perfumes. When performing physical tasks like gardening or cleaning, as well as before going to bed at night, we advise taking off jewellery.
Common practises like dragging or moving a pendant along a chain will eventually stretch and damage the chain.
There are also specialised jewellery / silver cleaning products that are available for your pieces.
What are the taonga made from?
Each piece is created and hand-finished 100% in Aotearoa / NZ, from 925 Sterling silver and plated with 22K gold.
Solid gold taonga may be commissioned on request only, please contact kiaora@maioha.co.nz to enquire.
How do I exchange my order?

Do you offer gift cards?
Yes. We know how challenging it may be to select the ideal present for whanau or friends. Our gift cards enable the lucky person receiving them to choose the taonga of their choice. Gift cards are a considerate choice for any occasion and can be delivered right to your inbox or the recipient's.
Online gift cards are provided by email along with instructions on how to use them. All gift cards have a 12-month expiration date and no additional processing costs.
Alternatively, you may ask us to mail a gift card to the address of your choice, and we'll happily place in a gift bag and send it. They can be redeemed online.
